In a later life if I ever came back, I would be an amazing writer, I would amaze the world with my stories, when I die, I will be a caterpillar. After my transformation into a butterfly I will grace the world with my beauty. Next I will become a ruler, a graceful queen that the world will love, I shall be respected and admired, and will be missed when I die. lastly, when I come back, I will be a humble citizen, I will take nothing and give what I have. I will help others who need my help.
“How will you answer the King when he says ‘What did you do with what I gave you’?” The Kings Advisor asked before retreating into the thrown room.
How would I answer the king? It was five years ago and he wants to see my progress. Callie looked over at her two sisters; they looked worried as well, she fiddled with her handkerchief. The Advisor came back out of the thrown room, “The King will see you now.” He said. Callie and her two sisters nervously went in. There a short man with white hair and a pointed beard sat on the thrown, “Ahh, Rosa, Sandra, Callie, I believe you know why you’re here?” Callie and her sisters bowed befor the king. “Yes Father.” “Five years ago, I gave each of you a grain of wheat, what prey tell have you done with it? Rosa?” “Father, five years ago when you gave me that grain of wheat, I went straight to the palace chief and had him cook it into a meal.” Rosa responded. “Very well. Sandra, what prey tell have you done with your grain of wheat?” “Father, five years ago when you gave me that grain of wheat, I went and stored it away in a handkerchief and the corner of my drawer, I have it here now.” Sandra responded holding out the wheat grain in her hand. “Very well. Callie, what prey tell have you done with your grain of wheat?” Callie looked over at her two sisters, and spoke hesitantly. “Father, five years ago when you gave me that grain of wheat, it was the beginning of spring, so I took it out to the field, where I planted it. And in the following spring, I harvested the wheat and planted those grains, and did the same the next spring, and the next. And from that one small wheat grain, I have planted many fields of grain to be harvested and given out to the people of our kingdom.” Callie concluded. The king looked at her and stroked his beard. “Callie, you have made a wise decision, by planting the grain of wheat, you have shown me that you will be a fine ruler, which is why, when I pass away, you shall rule my realm.” |
