Example: The Rebellion
“We are more than the choices we make, than the choices they make.” I shouted to the crowed of teens, every single one of us are wanted for crimes we didn’t commit. “It’s the new government, they don’t want us, and they’ve convinced our parents to not want us. We ask ‘why’, ‘cause we believe in our candidate’ they answer, enough is enough.” The crowd roars with excitement as we plan to over throw the government, “This is their fault, their doing, we’re just going to fix their mistake. We will fix this!” leaving the crowed in a roar of excitement, I left the rally.
“So where are we?” my second in command asked.
“We… we are in the burning heart, the unmistakable fire,” I told him “everywhere you look, every day more teens come to us for help, for safety, and do you know what we say to them?”
“Yes Ma’ma!”
“What?”
“Let’s walk through the fire together, disappear into the golden sands.” He told me.
“Why?”
“Because we are brave enough to walk through their line of fire, on the sand of their golden city.”
“Good.” He was a nice boy, we went to school together, he was a foot ball player, and he was never the kind of person to take commands from the loser I used to be. But since we came to this lost and forgotten city, people who used to look down on me came to me for advice, it’s been a year and our numbers have tripled in size.
“Ma’am it’s time to explain the battle plane,” Maria said, once a head cheer leader, now my secretary, (I knew she would work for me some day) “their waiting.”
“Good after noon every one,” I said, walking into our plan room “as you know we’re going to storm into the golden city, A-Group, I need you to be by section C at 700 hours” I said showing the three groups a lay out of the city, “ B-Group, you need to take over watch tower 8D by 800 hours, I don’t care how, just do it, and don’t hurt anyone or break anything, place the people in a way that makes it look like they’re on look out. C-Group, be at entrance Z by 900 hours, stay hidden and wait for the signal.”
“What about you, boss? Where will you be?” One of the fighters asked.
“Me, I’m chillin on a dirt road.” Thinking about the dirt road that leads to an underground entrance into the city. “There’s a fire starting in my heart, reaching a fever pitch and it’s bringing me out of the dark that covers this war. This plan will commence in three days time, get your supplies ready now, you’re excused.”

“Time to go, let’s move, move. MOVE!” I shouted, three days later, as the others headed in to the van, “Every day more people turn fifteen, and it’s our job to save them, let’s go!” Dropped at my destination spot, I headed down the dirt road, and just as I thought, he had security tightened, and just as I planed, they caught me.
Cuffed in his office the leader came storming and yelled “Why do you continue to aggravate me!!! YOU RESISTANS ARE AN UGLY STAIN ON OUR COMMUNITY!!!!”
“Because dad I’m beautiful in my way cuz God made no mistakes I’m on the right track baby I was born this way.”
“Will you just stop all this nonsense, I don’t want to see you get hurt, turn yourself in. Please.”
“No, it’s not nonsense, were saving teens from people like you.” pretending to scratch my head, I pulled a bobby pin out of my hair, and picked at the cuffs, dropping them on the floor, I looked at my ring and pushed in the gem, letting out a cloud of smoke which I used as my escape.
“Where did she go? Find her NOW!”
I came back to the town where I waited at the front gate for the new coming teens to tell them who we are. As the van pulled up the leader of the A-Group jumped out and said.
“Ma’ma, we were only able to save a few teens before the alarms went off.”
“That’s fine; it’s my fault they went off.” As the new teens came out, with smiles on their faces, smiles of freedom, I told them, ”I’m not afraid to stand everyone come and take my hand, we’ll walk this road together through the storm whatever weather cold or warm just lettin you know that you’re not alone.” Something we say to every new comer, (more than the other one, it really depends on our size) “Welcome to the resistance, I am commander Ella, some of you may know me, some may not, but either way, this is a place where teens can live normal lives without that new government controlling our every move, please go get washed up, and enjoy your selves.
That night I was patrolling the streets to make sure there wert any trouble makers, I found our weapons guy, rapping with some other teens, I didn’t mind it so much that he goes out every now and then, but we were in the middle of a war.
“Hey Mr. DJ in case you forgot, we are in the middle of a war, I don’t mind you going out every now and then, but you’ve been going out every night this week, you haven’t made any new things and we really needed them today, please, after tonight, don’t stay out to late.” and I left.
“And what if trials of this life the rain, the storms, the hardest nights, are your mercies in disguise?” One of our followers asked the next morning, her father was a preacher; she always knew what she was talking about. “Ask your selves, ‘Have I helped anyone new since they got here?’’ Have I only helped myself?’ If you answered no to the first, and yes to the second, change your ways, now. You are all excused.” And she left, in that way, she always got people to change their ways, and kept them happy as well. And with the end of that mass, I went back to my office, where on the (75 in) TV behind my desk, a call was waiting. “Joy” I sighed, taking the call from my brother, Philip, who stayed with my dad, “What?”
“Come back to us Isabella, life is so much better here than it is in that abandoned town”
“It’s Ella, and I like this town, but it’s not like either of you two would know.”
“Come on, once you really get to know him, dad can change, give him a second chance.”
“Second chances they don’t matter, people never change.”
“Ok? Isabella, do me a favor and close your eyes, imagine you’re running,” He always did this imagine thing, “And you’re running hard, but this wolf it’s always at your feet. That’s what we are Isabella. The big bad wolf is coming after little red riding hood, we’re coming after you. We’ll get you and you little resistance too.”
“Life is unkind at the best of times, at least to you.” I told him “This never ending story, paid for with pride and fate, we fall short in glory, lost in our fate. You may never change, but I am not like you. We, the resistance, are like the stars.”
“The stares?” he asked, with that, I left him to go plan our finale battle that would end this all, saying.
“The stars are blazing like rebel diamonds cut out of the sun.”
“So where are we?” my second in command asked.
